Looking for the most fun you've ever had? Check out this Supercharged DF Goblin! Think of it as a street-legal adult go kart on steroids! These kit cars are built using a Chevrolet Cobalt SS donor and are a lot of power in a lightweight package! This one has an extended chassis.
The supercharged 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine puts down a very impressive 300 horsepower, according to the builder. That engine features an underdrive pulley, Edelbrock cold air intake, performance tune, and a color-matched valve cover to dress it all up. That is tied to a 5-speed manual transmission so you can grab gears as you break necks!
Comfortable Cobalt SS bucket seats face a full gauge set and racing style tri-bar steering wheel. Turn signals are on the front and rear of the vehicle and also the sport side mirrors.
Let's get to what keeps this car planted to the turns. Newer radial tires on color-matched alloy wheels provide plenty of grip, with the steering handled by a rack and pinion setup. Adjustable coilovers on the front let you decide how firm the ride is, while struts out back provide a much nicer ride than most similar vehicles. 4-wheel disc brakes provide plenty of stopping power for a vehicle that is reported to weight around 1,600 lbs!
The exterior of this Goblin is simply menacing! The Burnt Orange color is featured throughout the body, engine cover, wheels, and even on that big wing in the back! This vehicle gets a ton of stares, but more importantly it will put a big smile on your face! These are comparable to dune buggies, Lotus replicas, the Slingshot, and others, but when you start looking at the engines, steering, suspension, and overall styling it is easy to see why these stand apart from the crowd and have such a large following!
