Our execu-rocket is finished in beautiful original Iridium Silver Metallic paint with Black AMG branded Mercedes wheels. We are talking about a 4400-pound missile disguising itself as an SL roadster. Subtle details such as bigger cooling intakes in the hood, a blackout grille, an AMG front lighting array, revised air-vent gills behind the front wheel wells, deeper rocker panels, a rear decklid spoiler that reduces high-speed lift according to AMG, and, down low, air diffusers executed in black set it apart from the non-AMG SL Mercedes.
The engine compartment looks like it is fresh off the showroom floor, and shows how well this car has been cared for. In there you will find the massive hand assembled 6.2-liter V8 engine looking like a diamond ring inside a jewelry box. Rated from the factory at 518 horsepower and 465-foot pound of torque propels this SL from 0-60mph in only 4 seconds. Shifting is done through an MCT 7 speed paddle shift transmission. However, the best thing about this Mercedes is the exhaust note, striking fear like Valhalla's pipe organ!
The interior is pure luxury with more features than you can shake a stick at. From the high end leather seats with the air scarf option to keep you warm during top down cruises on cool evenings, to the beautiful wood grain throughout. The power retractable hardtop folds itself down in just 16 seconds so you can get in the wind in a moment's notice. If you get tired of listening to the song of the V8 you can turn on the Harman Kardon stereo and trick yourself into thinking you are at your favorite concert!
The brakes and suspension are AMG all the way with massive power 4 wheel power disc brakes at all 4 corners featuring massive cross drilled rotors. The suspension is completely adjustable with active body control and the steering is precise thanks to speed sensitive power steering .
