2008 Metropolitan Chopper Royal Air Force Spitfire Custom Viewing by Appointment Only This one-of-a-kind, hand-built motorcycle was commissioned by public figure G. Gordon Liddy. Metropolitan Choppers of Frederick, Maryland, made it according to his plans and requirements. After winning the celebrity edition of the NBC television show Fear Factor, which aired on September 12, 2006, Liddy was granted the right to commission two choppers, one of which was this one. It honors the British Royal Airforce's Supermarine Spitfire, which was used in World War II. Styling cues that evoke the famous fighter plane include a scale replica of the windscreen, a headlight housing that mimics the propeller spinner, a rear fender with vertical and horizontal stabilizers, an engine air inlet, camouflage paint, and Liddy’s initials in aero-squadron-style markings, among other details. Powered by a 110-hp Ultima Products V-twin engine paired with a Pro-One Performance Products transmission. Built on a Pro-One frame with a Mean Street Products front end and rides on American Machine wheels painted with a propeller pattern.
