This is a beautiful 1990 Jaguar XJS V12 Convertible. It was born with the V12 , but a Chevy 305 cu. in. V8 along with a AOD transmission was installed back in 2005 for better reliability and gas mileage. The owner still has the original engine and transmission which operated fine before being removed. This XJS was originally a Florida car and garage kept so there is no rust whatsoever. The body panels are all original and rust free. The original British Racing Green paint is still in good condition. As you can see from the pictures, it still has good clarity and shine, but it could use a light buffing to really make it pop. The interior is in good condition as well only showing some wear on the driver seat bottom. The chrome and glass are in excellent condition with no cracks or scratches. The power convertible top works great and is in excellent condition. The car was purchased in 2003 with only 36,000 miles on the odometer. The odometer was set to zero and is now showing 20,155 miles on the new engine. When the engine swap took place, all the instrument panel gauges were sent off to Texas for recalibration to work with the Chevy V8 electronics. All lights and gauges work great. The A/C compressor/clutch is spinning, but only blowing cool air. Heat works. The trunk area is very clean with the original spare wheel present along with the factory jack and tools. The tires are still showing lots of tread wear left. Can I Speak directly with the owner? With all the rising scams on Craigslist and other sites, sellers list with us to protect their privacy. So in most cases the owner only wants to talk with ClassicCarDeals and we deal with the buyer, but there is a rare occasion where we can do a 3 Way phone Call with the owner. We and the owner are more than happy to get any and all questions and pictures that you need to make a sound decision.
Is The Car Available? The inventory on our site changes all the time, so there may be a small number of cars that will be sold when you call.
