The rugged Ford Econoline 250 ¾ ton van provides the foundation with the reliable 351ci (5.8L) V8 mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. Power is sent to a Dana 60 rear axle. The camper sleeps 4 with two double beds. Living quarters include plumbing for shower (not fully present), refrigerator, and hook-ups for shore power. It also has provisions for self contained water supply and gas. The vehicle is air conditioned with an R134a refrigerant upgrade. It's also equipped with power steering, tilt column, cruise control, power windows and locks, and a stereo radio upgrade with auxiliary and USB inputs. It rides on newer (dated 2022) Load Range E light truck radial tires. Extra accessories include a new toilet, shore power plug, hardware, and a serving tray for the driver and front passenger. Accent stripes were added by Coachmen, and the builder was thoughtful enough to provide color codes. This 1989 Ford Econoline 250 Coachmen is ready for many more miles and outdoor adventures. In 2025 it had two new fuel tanks installed and each tank also received a new fuel sending unit.
