1987 Ford Mustang GT For Sale- Only 2,141 Miles, 1 Of Only 6 In This Paint/Interior Combo LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1987 Ford Mustang GT Convertible During the ‘80s and early ‘90s, the Fox Body Mustang was one of the hottest performance cars in the market. The Mustang had roared back to the top of the American performance scene, thanks to Fox Body Mustangs powered by the 5.0L/225 HP High Output V-8. With their light weight, affordability and ease of modification, the fuel-injected “H.O.” Mustangs ruled the streets and strips, erasing the bad memories of the emissions-strangled cars of the 1970s. The GT looked much different from the base Mustang LX, thanks to sleeker aero styling with a no-grille front fascia, flush headlights, round fog lamps, wider lower rocker panels, a rear spoiler and louvered tail lights. A Quadra-shock rear suspension aided traction, as did the wide 225/60x15 Goodyear Eagle tires on turbine-style cast aluminum wheels. One day, not long ago, enthusiasts realized the once ubiquitous and iconic 5.0L Fox Body Mustang had become an increasingly rare sight—especially low-mileage, unmodified examples. The example offered here for sale is just that: an original, unmodified, factory Light Grey 1987 Ford Mustang GT Convertible with only 2,141 miles on the odometer. Sold new to its original owner by Bill Jarrett Ford Mercury Inc. in Avon Park, Florida, this Mustang GT was one of six that left the factory in this paint and trim combination. Today, both the paint and interior remain original to the car, along with the Ford dual exhaust system that provides the iconic 5.0 Mustang sound. This 1987 GT is also equipped with cruise control, a Traction-Lok rear axle, air conditioning, a premium sound system, the visibility light group, power locks, power windows and power mirrors. This ultra-low-mileage Fox Body comes fully documented with a window sticker (still affixed to the window), manuals, and Marti report. Fox Body Mustangs in this condition are becoming increasingly hard to find, which is in turn making the best original examples more desirable. Additional Details: -
