1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Super Sport Coupe
Thanks to the Championship NASCAR performance of Dale Earnhardt, the Monte Carlo SS was one of the most-recognizable American performance cars of the ‘80s. Designed and built to qualify the Monte Carlo body for NASCAR speedways, the coupe has a distinctive, sleek, dropped nose front end, a rear deck air spoiler, emulating the cars that ran on the super speedways. Under the hood, a 5 liter (305 CID) high output (HO) V8 engine, equipped with a 4 barrel carburetor and throaty dual exhaust system gets an honest 180 bhp out of a “malaise era” V8. The coupe is equipped with a 200R4 automatic overdrive transmission which makes the most of the horsepower with quick acceleration and great freeway economy. In Nevada, this car must be smogged annually, and it passes the state inspection effortlessly.
This is a one owner car, offered for sale by the original owner who has meticulously maintained, preserved, and serviced this vehicle for 35 years. Averaging only 1000 miles per year, it is spectacular and remains flawless in appearance inside and outside. The paint, special SS trim, glass, factory issue SS rims, and all rubber is like new.
