"""Initially conceived to address changes in the automotive market, The 928 represented Porsche's first fully in-house design for a production vehicle and was intended to potentially replace the Porsche 911 as the company's flagship model. The 928 aimed to blend the performance and handling characteristics of a sports car with the comfort, spaciousness, and ride quality of a luxury car. Notably, it was Porsche's inaugural production model powered by a V8 engine located at the front, and it achieved remarkable top speeds, earning recognition upon its 1978 release by winning the European Car of the Year award."" -Wikipedia ""Porsche 928""
This 1983 Porsche 928S is finished in Slate Blue Metallic paint with a coordinating blue leather interior. Power for this 928 is provided by a 4.7-liter sixteen valve V-8 motor paired with a five-speed manual transmission.
Currently showing 74,603 miles, this well-balanced Porsche 928 comes to a quick start and shifts effortlessly through the manual dog leg transmission. Although the typical dash cracks are present, the interior of this car shows very well from the blue leather seating to the carpet and rear hatch area. The factory radio has been upgraded with an Alpine unit with Bluetooth compatibility.
The Slate Blue Metallic paint on this Porsche is in particularly good condition with only some minor chips typical of a 42-year-old car. The sixteen inch flat disc wheels feature Porsche crest center caps and are wrapped with xxx tires with a 2024 production date.
The driver's side electric mirror is inoperable and has to be manually adjusted, the air conditioning is operational, but it does not blow cold. All other components of this 1983 Porsche 928S appear to be working as required.
