While virtually every one of America�s high-performance cars had already been reduced to mere shadows of their former selves or legislated out of existence by the mid-1970s, Chevrolet�s Corvette continued as the universal object of desire for many true driving enthusiasts. The third-generation Corvette�s "Mako Shark� styling, dating to 1968, remained largely intact through 1982. Finished in White over distinctive Silver Green leather upholstery and matching carpeting, this 1982 Chevrolet Corvette is a very nicely preserved and presented example from the last model year of third-generation production. T-roof panels provide year-round enjoyment. Power is provided by the sole engine available for 1982 � the L83-Code Chevrolet 350 cubic-inch V-8 engine, factory-rated at 200 horsepower. The original Cross-Fire throttle body fuel injection system has been removed professionally and replaced with an era correct high performance 4-barrel carb for better reliability and preformance. Then mated with a 4-speed automatic transmission which delivers the power to the 2.72:1 rear axle for relaxed, high-speed highway performance. Features and amenities include power brakes and steering, air conditioning, power windows, a remote mirror, tilt steering, and an updated Kenwood digital AM/FM CD stereo unit. Handsome Corvette alloy wheels mount a set of BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. A 1982 Corvette owner�s manual and a storage bag for the T-roof panels are included. Very nicely presented and sporting a rare color combination, this 1982 Chevrolet Corvette marks the end of �C3� production in anticipation of the upcoming 4th Generation models to follow for 1984.
