"Cruisin Classics is pleased to present to you this 1981 Cadillac Eldorado. This beauty comes to us today with under 30K actual miles on the odometer and it is in spectacular condition for a 40+ year old car. It is dressed in a two-tone high driver quality repaint done with Sierra Gold on the lower body and Waxberry Yellow above the upper body line. Up top, it sports a color-matched padded vinyl Landau top in excellent condition. The front end features a colorful Cadillac hood ornament above a rectangular chrome egg-crate grille flanked by dual side-by-side headlights. A bright chrome bumper with a black rub guard rounds out the look. The sides of this Eldorado feature plenty of bright trim elements like wheel lip molding, full-length rocker molding, body side molding, window trim, and door edge guards. Dual chrome side mirrors with ""Cadillac"" script add to the classy presentation, as do the frameless door glass and fixed rear quarter windows. The real eye-catcher of the side view though is the gleaming chrome wire wheels with Cadillac crest center caps all wrapped in white wall/gold-line tires from Vogue Tyre Co. - a perfect complement to this elegant automobile. Around the back, you'll find vertical chrome-trimmed taillights, another chrome bumper, a Cadillac crest keyhole cover, and a hidden gas fill behind the license plate.
Lift the long hood to reveal a very clean and stock engine bay illuminated by a working courtesy light. At the heart of it all is a 368ci fuel-injected big block V-8. For 1981 only, the Eldorado was powered by Cadillac's V8-6-4 variable displacement variant of the 368 engine. This was designed to deactivate two or four cylinders when full power was not needed, helping meet GM's government fuel economy averages. Unfortunately, these engines were plagued with issues resulting from inadequate software to effectively switch between cylinder variations in a smooth and effective way. De-activating this system is easily done (with just one wire) or it can be switched to a toggle bypass switch that allows for using the feature only when desired. With the system disconnected, the 368 will run on all 8 cylinders all the time and provide a pleasant and seamless driving experience. The V-8 is mated up to a Turbo-Hydramatic 3-speed automatic front wheel drive transmission that shifts smoothly. While you're under the hood you'll also notice that this Eldorado is equipped with power steering, air conditioning, and power brakes (4-wheel discs!).
Swing open the long driver's door and step back in time with a gorgeous stock interior dressed in Waxberry Yellow, tan, and gold. The light yellow door panels are dressed up with bright trim and woodgrain accents and feature power locks, power windows, power seat controls, and a driver's mirror toggle. Up front are incredibly comfortable light yellow leather seats that are both power adjustable. The seats are in very good condition with only light wear and a missing back button on the drivers seat. Between the seats is a small factory caddy for storing hand-held items and a fold-down armrest for extra comfort. The rear seat is in even better condition than the ones up front, and all four seats feature a stitched Cadillac ""wreath"" high on the seatback. The floors are covered in gold/tan plush factory carpet that is kept nice with matching carpeted OEM logo floormats. Being a front wheel drive car, this Eldorado has flat floorplans (no need for a tunnel) that allow for a double-wide front floormat and a perception of extra space. The dash is topped with a crack-free tan dash pad that sits above a full side-to-side woodgrain instrument and accessory panel. Ahead of the driver is an 85mph speedometer, a fuel gauge, system warning lights, controls for the lights and intermittent wipers, and a toggle for the passenger-side mirror. The center of the dash is home to an ""MPG Sentinel"", electronic climate controls, and a factory stereo. The MPG Sentinel has a small digital screen that displays instant and average mpg, estimated range, and the number of cylinders currently being used. The climate controls also offer a small screen that displays the temperature you would like to keep the interior. The A/C blows nice and cold, the heat is hot, and the fan blows strong. Beneath that is a Delco AM/FM push-button stereo with an 8-track player, a digital screen for radio stations, and a working power antenna. The area ahead of the passenger is a large glovebox with a small Cadillac plaque on the door that is engraved with the names Milt and Bertha Buckley likely the original owners. Inside the glovebox is an original owner's manual, a roll of gold pinstripe tape, a trunk release button, and a Frank Sinatra 8-track. The driver is treated to a 2-spoke tan OEM steering wheel with faux woodgrain, a working horn, and a Cadillac crest at the center. The wheel is mounted on a tilt column that also offers cruise control and a shifter for the automatic transmission. Overhead are map lights and a tight-felt headliner. Pop the trunk lid to find a fully carpeted area with a rubber mat (to keep the carpet nice), a courtesy light, and a full spare with a carpeted cover. The trunk lid has a soft-touch closing feature in keeping with the luxurious nature of the car.

Here at Cruisin Classics, we understand that you have many options when choosing where you purchase your classic, muscle or collector car and we would like to thank you for considering us.
Cruisin Classics has been buying and selling cars for many years.. The majority were your average daily drivers but our passion has always been in muscle cars and hot rods so in 1996, Cruisin Classics built a 56,000 sq.ft. showroom located in Columbus, OH that they still operate out of today. All of our vehicles are hand-picked and selected to ensure they fit our inventory. This facility is now arguably one of the best-stocked collections for sale in the US housing hundreds of unique automobiles all under one roof. We invite you to our facility! There is something for everybody when you come to visit.
After years of serving as central Ohio's premiere classic car dealer at Cruisin Classics Auto Sales, we saw an unfulfilled need that was not being met for our clients. We loved helping match our clients with the classic and American muscle cars of their dreams. But what about after the purchase? We recognized that our clients needed a trusted resource to continue to care for their classic vehicles. It did not sit well with us that our valued clients and their incredible vehicles were being outsourced to, sometimes several, third-party resources for maintenance and performance needs. We also wanted to help the many people that we had met over the years who already owned classic vehicles which were in need of restoration, upgrades, and maintenance. Too often, we were seeing vehicles with so much potential left sitting in garages under covers because their owners did not know who to turn to for such specialized work. It is our goal to offer our clients a truly comprehensive, seamless, and enjoyable classic car ownership experience, from purchase to maintenance to storage. Thus, Cruisin Classics Performance Center was born. We have cherry-picked the most talented, experienced, and passionate team of technicians to offer our clients a true one-stop-shop solution for any and all of their classic car needs. Our honest business model has lasted almost 25 years to date and Cruisin Classics has a worldwide reputation as one of the best in the business.
Outside of the shop, this business has afforded us the opportunity to be actively involved in our community and fulfill our goal of supporting several local and national organizations that hold a special place in our hearts. We are proud sponsors of the Kiwanis Club of Columbus, the Columbus USO, Honor Flight, Special Olympics, multiple car clubs, and much more.
In conclusion, 100% customer satisfaction is our main goal. Always has been.. always will be. We would like to invite anyone considering one of our vehicles to come to our beautiful facility to inspect the car in person or send somebody on your behalf.
