1980 VW Rabbit, Original Oregon car, ABA swap, setup for Autocross and mild track days, still street drivable, current registration (I just paid for the next two years). The car is very well kept and turn-key ready. Garage stored for my ownership (over 5 years). Only reason for sale is my autocross club recently lost the local venue that we race at and the other events are too far away for me. I bought this car and built it specifically for autocross use, and aside from the very occasional street drive, that's all I do with it. The car will come with tons of new parts, spare parts, extras, pretty much my entire MK1 parts collection as I will not be building another MK1. Basic build info: -ABA motor, early OBD2 (May 1995) so it has the forged crank and oil squirters, 'big-port' German head with single valve springs. Pretty much stock except for windage tray and oil pan baffle for oil control. -020-2Y close-ratio Scirocco Trans with Peloquin shim kit and 100mm CV's (axles are new), Redline MT-90 fluid. -Shift linkage all upgraded with heim joints and delrin bushings as well as SCCY shift lever pivot (shifter parts), best shifting 020 you've ever felt! -upgraded motor/trans mounts -TT downpipe, TT high-flow cat, Autotech catback system. -Bilstein struts/shocks with stiff valving, FK springs -stock GTI front sway bay, Autotech rear sway bar, poly bushings -custom front lower brace bar, eurosport rear upper bar -Big bore master cylinder, booster delete, braided lines, ATE slotted rotors, Hawk HP-Plus pads, stock rear drums (all new) -all suspension and steering parts are new or newish and have been upgraded -Momo seat and steering wheel, S&P seat bracket (passenger included), (original seat included) -VDO tach -battery relocated to trunk -Karl Wirth fender flares from Germany (bigger than GTI) -Enkei RPF1, 14x7 +25 (9.6lbs each!) -Falken Azenis RT615k 195/60-14 (still good but a fresh set would be nice) Upgrade parts that I haven't gotten installed.

We have many buying options for you, (call to speak to a rep today). You can buy with confidence from a trusted Classic Car Source.
Where is vehicle located? If you want to find out the location of a vehicle, please call us between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST, we have staff standing by to help you in every way possible.
Can I Speak directly with the owner? With all the rising scams on Craigslist and other sites, sellers list with us to protect their privacy. So in most cases the owner only wants to talk with ClassicCarDeals and we deal with the buyer, but there is a rare occasion where we can do a 3 Way phone Call with the owner. We and the owner are more than happy to get any and all questions and pictures that you need to make a sound decision.
Is The Car Available? The inventory on our site changes all the time, so there may be a small number of cars that will be sold when you call.
