John Guerrero (one of first Americans to spend the winter @ The South Pole) purchased this vehicle in the 1980\'s off a car lot in N. California with a salvage title. John loved the car and drove daily until his death and the Thing was left to me in his estate. I kept and drove the car with no back seat and no side doors. In the early 2000\'s \"traded\" the Thing for home tile work with an option to buy back. The tile man did some restoration (doors, back seat and upolstery) and when I was financially recovered I purchased the car back about 2 years later.
Since that time I replaced the tie rods but otherwise the car runs wells and is garaged and driven on a limited basis. Once again I need financial relief so MUST SELL. $17,500 OBO.
