This 1971 Chevrolet El Camino Custom has been modified with a 407ci small-block V8, which is linked to a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission and a Positraction limited-slip differential. Finished in white with patterned blue stripes over black cloth upholstery, the vehicle is equipped with a Holley carburetor, a high-rise intake manifold, Edelbrock cylinder heads, MSD ignition, powdercoated exhaust headers, front disc brakes, anti-roll bars, Center Line 15? wheels, power steering, a hard tonneau cover, a carpet-lined pickup bed, SS badging, a cowl-induction hood, tilt steering, and an aftermarket audio system. Purchased by the seller in 2023, this modified El Camino is now offered with a recent service record, a car cover, and a clean California title in the seller's name.
Finished from the factory in Antique Green (49), the truck was refinished in white under prior ownership. The blue stripes over the hood, roof, hard tonneau, and tailgate have a two-tone checkered pattern. Features include a cowl-induction hood, hood pins, SS badging, dual side mirrors, chrome bumpers and trim, reverse lights, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes a rust spot at the lower-front portion of the passenger door, and other imperfections are pictured in the gallery below.
Center Line 15? wheels are mounted with Goodyear Eagle ST tires measuring 235/60 front and 275/60 rear. The truck has power steering as well as front and rear anti-roll bars. Braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums, and the front rotors are slotted and drilled.
The hard tonneau cover raises to reveal a carpet-lined pickup bed with a Chevrolet bow-tie logo at the front bulkhead.
The bench seat has been reupholstered in black cloth with vinyl trim, and the color-coordinated carpeting and headliner also have been redone. Amenities include tilt steering, a carpeted dash cover, and rubber floor mats. A Bluetooth-capable Alpine CD head unit is wired to a Bazooka subwoofer, an MTX amplifier, Crystal speakers, and Boss A-pillar tweeters. The door locks were replaced in recent years. The vehicle lacks a heater and air conditioning. The dash pad is cracked, and the windshield wipers operate slowly.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. A trio of Autogage readouts positioned below the radio monitors oil pressure, voltage, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 33k miles, approximately 100 of which were added by the seller; true mileage is unknown. The clock and the factory temperature gauge do not work, and the shift indicator on the dash does not change positions when the gear selector is moved.
The 407ci small-block V8 was installed under previous ownership and is augmented by a Holley carburetor, a high-rise intake manifold, Edelbrock cylinder heads, a deep-sump oil pan, MSD ignition, and powdercoated exhaust headers. The carburetor has been rebuilt and the spark plugs were replaced in recent years, according to the seller.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission and a Positraction limited-slip differential. The transmission pan and the left-rear axle were replaced in May 2023, and the fluids for the transmission and the differential were replenished. The transmission reportedly has been fitted with a shift kit.
