"Cruisin Classics is pleased to present this 1970 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. This Karmann Ghia comes to us today looking like it has undergone a recent restoration that included a new coat of slick and glossy Red paint. The paint-job is exceptionally nice and it's accented by gleaming restored chrome trim pieces that pop in the light. Up front in the center you'll find a bright VW badge flanked by round single headlights in bright bezels, wrap-around turn signal indicators, and two individual grilles. Underneath is a mirror-finish chrome bumper with guards and overrider that add to the cool vintage look. From the side you get an excellent look at the iconic Ghia styling that has made this car such an enduring favorite of VW fans. Brightwork continues with parallel strips of lower body molding, dual side mirrors, door handles, window trim, and B-pillar trim. This VW has a fantastic lowered stance (courtesy of drop spindles) and it sits on a stunning set of chrome rally wheels with chrome Wolfsburg logo caps. The tires are staggered with Nankang N803 (145 R15) tires up front and Mastercraft M-R 325's (165 R15) in the rear. The windshield and rear window are framed with black molding and the rear side windows pop out from the rear for extra ventilation. Around back you'll see a vented decklid with like-new ""VOLKSWAGEN"" and ""Karmann Ghia"" badging, a set of ""Euro-spec"" taillights (with red, amber, and clear sections), and another gleaming bumper with guards and overrider. The passenger-side of the car features a gas fill door and a ""Karmann"" badge on the front fender. Take a peek under the car to see an impeccably clean undercarriage from front to back.
Under the rear deck lid is a very clean and tidy engine bay that houses an air-cooled 1,600cc 1.6 liter flat 4-cylinder engine with a single-barrel carburetor. This engine is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission with rear-wheel drive. Exhaust exits through an all-black system that adds to the great looking underside of the car. Stopping power comes via front disc and rear drum brakes.
When you open the drivers door you're greeted by an eye-poppingly cool interior that blends OEM elements with custom touches. The stock-looking door panels are black vinyl with crank windows and a passenger-side map pocket. The seats really steal the show up front are bucket seats with black vinyl backs & bases and a plaid cloth seating area done in black, red, and white. In the rear is a bench seat, done in the same fabric, with a fold-down back. Fold down the seat-back to discover a custom-built speaker box that houses two Sony Xplod 6x9 speakers that sound awesome. All seats are in flawless condition and look like they were recently re-covered. The front seats are equipped with seatbelts that feature Wolfsburg logos on the buckles. Between the front buckets is an aftermarket emergency brake handle flanked by levers that control the heating. Just ahead of the seats is an EMPI shifter for the 4-speed transmission a nice upgrade. Ahead of the driver is a black 2-spoke OEM steering wheel with a non-working horn ring and a Wolfsburg centercap. Though Karmann Ghias came from the facttory with woodgrain dashes, this dash is painted red and topped with a crack-free black vinyl dashpad. The drivers side of the dash features controls for the lights and working wipers, a gas gauge, a 90mph speedometer, and an inoperative analog clock. The odometer reads 4,837 but the title claims those miles to be non-actual. Under the drivers-side dash are fresh air vent control knobs. In the center of the dash is a bright ""Karmann Ghia"" badge and beneath it is a Sony Xplod AM/FM/CD stereo that plays your favorite cruisin tunes through the speakers in the rear (dash speaker is inop.). The passenger side of the dash is home to a glovebox that contains a release for the front storage compartment (""frunk""), the original owners manual, and a receipt for an engine rebuild that took place back in 1997 in Tennessee. Overhead is a tight black perforated vinyl headliner and underfoot is newer-looking high-quality black carpet topped with black carpeted floormats that feature red piping and red Wolfsburg logos. The front storage compartment is just as clean as the rest of the car and contains the gas tank, room for a spare tire, and some additional room for storage.
This spectacular 1970 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia is turn-key ready to hit the road and put a smile on your face! No matter where you go in this cool little car you are bound to turn heads and get compliments! Give our friendly staff a call today and make this iconic VW your own!

Here at Cruisin Classics, we understand that you have many options when choosing where you purchase your classic, muscle or collector car and we would like to thank you for considering us.
Cruisin Classics has been buying and selling cars for many years.. The majority were your average daily drivers but our passion has always been in muscle cars and hot rods so in 1996, Cruisin Classics built a 56,000 sq.ft. showroom located in Columbus, OH that they still operate out of today. All of our vehicles are hand-picked and selected to ensure they fit our inventory. This facility is now arguably one of the best-stocked collections for sale in the US housing hundreds of unique automobiles all under one roof. We invite you to our facility! There is something for everybody when you come to visit.
After years of serving as central Ohio's premiere classic car dealer at Cruisin Classics Auto Sales, we saw an unfulfilled need that was not being met for our clients. We loved helping match our clients with the classic and American muscle cars of their dreams. But what about after the purchase? We recognized that our clients needed a trusted resource to continue to care for their classic vehicles. It did not sit well with us that our valued clients and their incredible vehicles were being outsourced to, sometimes several, third-party resources for maintenance and performance needs. We also wanted to help the many people that we had met over the years who already owned classic vehicles which were in need of restoration, upgrades, and maintenance. Too often, we were seeing vehicles with so much potential left sitting in garages under covers because their owners did not know who to turn to for such specialized work. It is our goal to offer our clients a truly comprehensive, seamless, and enjoyable classic car ownership experience, from purchase to maintenance to storage. Thus, Cruisin Classics Performance Center was born. We have cherry-picked the most talented, experienced, and passionate team of technicians to offer our clients a true one-stop-shop solution for any and all of their classic car needs. Our honest business model has lasted almost 25 years to date and Cruisin Classics has a worldwide reputation as one of the best in the business.
Outside of the shop, this business has afforded us the opportunity to be actively involved in our community and fulfill our goal of supporting several local and national organizations that hold a special place in our hearts. We are proud sponsors of the Kiwanis Club of Columbus, the Columbus USO, Honor Flight, Special Olympics, multiple car clubs, and much more.
In conclusion, 100% customer satisfaction is our main goal. Always has been.. always will be. We would like to invite anyone considering one of our vehicles to come to our beautiful facility to inspect the car in person or send somebody on your behalf.
