Zoom Classic Cars is proud to present this beautifully restored 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Coupe. This Challenger was originally manufactured in Los Angeles, California, and spent the first 18 years of its life in Van Nuys. A change in ownership relocated the vehicle to Michigan in 1988 when it underwent a frame off restoration, was sanded down to bare metal and re-painted in a body shop in Hudsonville, Michigan. All the original body panels are believed to be on the car with no body filler. The original 383 V-8 motor was rebuilt at this time. While the odometer reads 23,632 (has flipped, so actually 123,632) it is no longer operational. The vehicle is believed to have less than 3000 miles since the restoration and engine rebuild. The current owner purchased the car in 1991 and has driven it sparingly to car shows, and periodic trips to the gas station. The car has won several car show trophies over the last 33 years, including at Mopar Nationals. The only known items to not match the trim tag are the horizontal stripe, which was originally white, and the interior was originally white, but during restoration was changed to black. The original 4-barrel carburetor, 383 motor and 3 speed heavy duty automatic transmission are believed to be numbers matching. The speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, temperature, clock, oil pressure gauge, and AM radio all function properly. The J5 Sublime and Limelight Metallic paint still looks amazing. There are a few minor blemishes in the paint that are each smaller than a nickel and shown in the photosone on the driver\'s side rear corner, one above the passenger side rear wheel, and one on the driver\'s side. Overall, I would still say 8/10 on the paint. While the car is equipped with air conditioning, it does not work. The vehicle is equipped with power steering, and the power brakes stop the vehicle as needed. The rear end is 8- inch with 323 gears. The original wheels are not on the vehicle, but the buyer may choose to have either the original wheels, or the ones seen in the photos on the vehicle. This Challenger runs and drives as it should with no fluid leaks, and a clean interior. On the road, this Challenger offers a thrilling driving experience, with responsive handling, strong braking performance, and a deep, resonant exhaust note that adds to the overall excitement of driving this powerful machine. The vehicle is located in Vicksburg, Michigan and the listing price is $77,000. Contact Tom F. (269-317-3955) for more information about this vehicle.
