1969 Pontiac GTO Tribute Why This Car Is Special We have a 1969 Pontiac GTO Tribute here at Skyway Classics that has a YU code 455 cubic inch engine, Power steering and Power Brakes, Aluminum Radiator, black bench seat interior, rides on Chrome S/S Cragar wheels and black sidewall tires, and is painted in yellow with a black vivyl top and Jude graphics. General Motors redesigned it's a-body for 1968 and 1969 with a unique feature that was the body-color Endura front bumper. It was designed to absorb impact without permanent deformation at low speeds. Pontiac touted this feature heavily in advertising, showing hammering at the bumper to no discernible effect.
