The Cutlass S was sort of a unique release, poised in the lineage of Oldsmobile's vehicle marketing between the F85 budget design and the more upscale (expensive) Supreme. This example is a convertible equipped with the 350/310 HP V-8 engine and an automatic transmission which received factory air conditioning as well. These midsize Oldsmobiles represented a muscular styling that was not overt; the curvaceous edges of the body were designed to denote quality and were usually found in more traditional color schemes.
The fact that this car is finished in Crimson red with a white top and matched white interior adds to its sense of sophistication. The Rocket 350 was the standard V-8 offered by the brand, and here it features a 4-barrel carburetor, gold paint, and an upgraded aluminum intake manifold. The dual exhaust flows through a pair of mufflers, and factory A/C keeps the occupants cool even when the top is down. This car came with power steering and power brakes as well. This also includes a tilt steering wheel, 3 round dash gauges, updated AM/FM stereo radio and power convertible top. The trunk is finished off with an auxiliary trunk light, factory mat, and a correct spare and jack assembly. She rides on color matched Super Stock II wheels with new BFG radial tires.
