1969 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler II - These special 'showroom race cars' were a more aerodynamic version of the Mercury Cyclone, only built and sold to the public to homologate the design for racing purposes - The Cyclone Spoiler II (and its sister car, the Ford Torino Talladega) competed against the Plymouth Superbird and Dodge Daytona 'wing cars' at Nascar tracks nationwide during a period known as the Aero Wars - VERY RARE, one of only 503 produced (Nascar required just 500 examples be sold to the public in order to be legal for racing) - Of the 503, only 285 were Cale Yarborough Editions - Cale Yarborough won the 1968 Daytona 500 driving for the legendary Wood Brothers - These cars featured over 50 parts marked 'X' for Experimental from the factory and were all hand built - Flush-mounted grille and headlights, tucked bumper and other bodywork changes which resulted in the car being 6 inches longer than a conventional Cyclone - Mercury reshaped and rolled the rocker panels which allowed their race cars to run an inch closer to the ground while staying within the rules, enhancing their top speed - This car underwent a 5 year comprehensive restoration - Beautiful Wimbledon White paint with red striping and Cale Yarborough graphics mimicking his famous #21 Wood Brothers race car - Matching dark red bench seat interior - Very nice trunk with original spare - Styled steel wheels with correct Goodyear Polyglas reproduction tires - 351 Windsor engine that has been bored to Nascar specs of 358 cubic inches - Rebuilt with Holman Moody internals - FMX automatic transmission (there were no manual-equipped Cyclone Spoiler IIs) - High performance 3.25 rear axle - Power brakes & power steering - HIGHLY DOCUMENTED car - Produced on March 12, 1969 and sold new at Schneider Lincoln-Mercury in St. Paul, MN - Original window sticker, invoice & Ownercard - Original owner's manual & special Cyclone II supplement - Original dealer trunk lid emblem - Framed Elite Marti Report

FAQ
Who Is Classic Car Deals? We are one of the world's largest classic car consignment companies. Our headquarters are in Michigan but the majority of the inventory is located in other states. We have many buying options for you, (call to speak to a rep today). You can buy with confidence from a trusted Classic Car Source.
Where is vehicle located? If you want to find out the location of a vehicle, please call us between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST, we have staff standing by to help you in every way possible.
Can I Speak directly with the owner? With all the rising scams on Craigslist and other sites, sellers list with us to protect their privacy. So in most cases the owner only wants to talk with ClassicCarDeals and we deal with the buyer, but there is a rare occasion where we can do a 3 Way phone Call with the owner. We and the owner are more than happy to get any and all questions and pictures that you need to make a sound decision.
Is The Car Available? The inventory on our site changes all the time, so there may be a small number of cars that will be sold when you call.
