LeMans Blue is arguably the best color for a 1969 Corvette and this one wears it well! It is also the original color with a 976 paint code on the original door tag. That is paired with a 411 trim code for a Bright Blue interior, which this car retains. It does have cloth inserts in the middle, which is nice in hot and cold weather versus vinyl.
Under the big block hood is a 427 CID V8, rated at 390 horsepower with the casting code 3955270, which is correct for the car! It is stamped as a Counter Exchange (warranty) block on the front pad. Everything we can see checks out to this being a real big block Vette from the factory! The rear end is stamped as a 1968 with a 3.08 posi and as heavy duty!
This C3 Stingray is also loaded with options including power steering, power brakes, A/C, and power windows! Usually these big block cars are pretty bare bones, but not this one. Some of those options are fairly rare too! Of all the 1969 Corvettes built only 10,531 received this engine, 11,859 received A/C, 4,355 received side exhaust, about half received power brakes, and 9,816 had power windows. Put all those options together and there is no telling how rare this specific example is.
This is a very correct example that has been left as close to stock as possible and is an entry level show car. It has never had a full restoration because it didn't need it. It has 1 repaint on the exterior (they left the jambs alone so the tags, strikers, latches, etc. wouldn't be oversprayed) and the paint shows well. With a full blown detail this car would be a great addition to any Corvette collection and will surely put a smile on your face when you get behind the wheel!
