With the enormous success of the Mustang, the Mercury Division needed a sporty car of their own to attract the younger crowd. The result was a slightly longer, luxury ponycar, and potential buyers of the new Mercury Cougar were directed to the, "Sign of the cat." Whereas the Mustang had a sporty new look, the Mercury was mean and muscular. This 68 is an eye catching Diamond Blue beauty that falls into the survivor category and has been well cared for. The legendary 302ci fires right up, runs strong, and takes you right down memory lane. This cruiser is one highly optioned Mercury with power steering, power brakes and factory air-conditioning. Unfortunately, the A/C doesnt currently work, but everything is there and in its proper place. The interior is in remarkable condition for its age and very comfortable. You dont see many Cougars around anymore, and finding a survivor in this condition isnt easy. This ones going to generate a lot of attention so you better pounce while you have a chance!
