For consignment, a 1967 Oldsmobile 442 Holiday 2 door hardtop, showing 56,911 miles which are not actual.� Benefitting from a rotisserie restoration, this car was brought back to life in a big way.� It's the recipient of an AACA 1st Junior Award, AACA 1st Senior scoring 400/400, Oldsmobile Division car of the year in 2015, and a Second Place in the prestigious Hemmings Motor News Concours D'Elegance at Saratoga Springs, New York. �It's also featured in an issue of Hemmings Muscle Magazine which will be included with the car along with an order sheet, delivery photo from 1967, and manuals.�

Exterior
Two stage Spanish Red covers the body and a striking Provincial White roof contrasts dramatically on this sleeper of a family car enlivened by the bright coat. �The louvered hood gives way to a distinctive face, dual headlights flanking a square marker light which in turn is sandwiched by clever inlets that pull cool air into the W-30 type intake.� The proud shoulder line is highlighted by a painted pinstripe that trails back the slight rise in character line, then the shoulder runs in tandem with white flying buttresses over a flat decklid.� Jet style stacked tail lights ride wide on the rear fascia and dual exhaust tips pop straight from under the chrome bumper, while tasty 15-inch Magnum 500 wheels are wrapped in redline tires.� On all four sides, the coveted 3 color 442 emblems, understated and just visible enough for wary challengers.

Interior
Handsome red door panels present in fantastic condition with horizontal rib patterns and silver lined columns and accented armrest, all over a carpeted kick panel.� Making use of the structures of the seats which were totally rebuilt with foam, and red vinyl to match the factory, a new dash, newer door panels, and a fresh roll of carpet, bring this interior right back to the original factory state.� The dash is a handsome arrangement of materials, contrasting nickel over black with two main gauges relaying seven bits of information, but added gauges below the dash pick up oil, water, and volts. �The three spoke, plastic rimmed steering wheel was part of the restoration process and is in fantastic shape and the center console is home base for the Hurst 442 shifter over red loop carpet. �Other features and creature comforts include, power steering, power brakes, front disc brakes, power driver's seat, tilt steering wheel, AM/FM radio, and a rear speaker.� The trunk is spectacularly clean with smooth vinyl mat, spare redline tire, and the battery which has been factory relocated to make room for the inlet pipes.��

Drivetrain
The showpiece under the hood is the correct 400ci V8 rated at 350 horsepower and it's here where we find the 4's of 442.� A 4-barrel carburetor feeds the powerplant which is mated to a correct Muncie M20 4-speed manual transmission.� All engine accessories were rebuilt to factory specs, and reinstalled during restoration and the Muncie transmission was totally rebuilt and bolted back on to the now gleaming engine.� Power brakes seem like a good choice by GM here and are configured as front discs and rear drums.��

Undercarriage
We're talking showroom clean underneath and prior to 2019, this car received new suspension, a rebuilt rear axle with new seals and gaskets, and spiral style shocks. �Suspension is otherwise composed of coil springs in front and a 4 link with coil springs in back.� No dirt, no grease, not even any surface rust is found.� The dual exhaust travels through newer glasspack style mufflers before exiting via chambered tailpipes with chrome rimmed tips.� Of the thousands of cars that have graced our halls, this undercarriage would easily make the top 20 in terms of cleanliness.��

Drive-Ability
So this is what 1967 feels like?� As the brochure proclaimed, ""Three variations on the same swinging theme!"". �The car came in the pillarless Holiday coupe like this one, a Sport Couple with B-pillar, and a convertible.� It's not the configuration that makes this example special, it's the condition, which as AACA wins bear out, is outstanding.� And it runs, handles, and stops very well, no hiccups on our test run and all functions work as expected.� While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.
