This 1967 Shelby Cobra kit car combines performance, style, and meticulous documentation, making it a standout example of a classic Cobra recreation. Built by Antique & Collectibles in Buffalo, NY, in 2003, this Cobra's deep Cranberry paint with Pewter stripes gives it an iconic look. Detailed receipts documenting the build and its components are carefully filed, showcasing the dedication behind this creation.
Under the hood, a 1974 Ford 351 Windsor engine built by Jasper Engines powers this Cobra with 300HP. The engine features an electric cooling fan with adjustable temperature control, a 100-amp chrome alternator, aluminum front-end pulleys, and an Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum intake manifold paired with a 600 CFM carburetor. This power is managed by a Ford toploader 4-speed manual transmission with Hurst shifter linkage and scatter shield for smooth and responsive shifting. A Mustang 2 rack and pinion system provides precise steering, while the Ford 9-inch rear axle with 3.55 Posi gears ensures solid power distribution. The Cobra?s suspension includes a 4-link setup with a panhard bar at the rear and adjustable coil-over shocks on all four corners, creating a balanced, high-performance driving experience.
Inside, the Cobra features a light grey leather interior in excellent condition. A 15-inch Moto-Lita steering wheel and Stewart Warner gauges provide a vintage aesthetic, while leather seats, clean carpeting, and fully upholstered door panels ensure a comfortable cabin. Additional finishing touches include a center rearview mirror from Finishline, windshield wings, and tinted visors, completing the thoughtful design.
The car sits on 15-inch Cragar SS wheels, and all four corners are equipped with disc brakes, delivering both style and stopping power.
