1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible. Ive had this car for about 3 years and its time to let someone else enjoy it. This Corvette has been kept mostly to original. The 327 (300 hp) engine was replaced under warranty by a period correct one. The rest of the driveline is original, including the Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. The custom engine upgrades include the intake manifold, Holley carburetor, larger oil pan (6 qt). It also has a Hurst shifter upgrade. The Corvette has manual steering and manual 4-wheel disc brakes. The original exterior color was blue, but it was painted black prior to 1976 and was repainted in 1979. Since that time it has been garaged and only driven about 10,000 miles. The interior had been refreshed in the 90s and has been kept well with its original quality and color. There is still room for some small details of improvement including a missing seatbelt extractor cover, wear on carpet, and inoperable dash clock. Convertible soft top works, but needs mending or replacement of fabric at some point. This Corvette is exciting to drive and gets a lot of attention at the gas station, on the road, and at the car shows. It cruises on the freeway at 75 mph with ease. It has been up to 100 mph without issue. The fact it doesnt have power steering may turn some people off, as it can require some effort when parking. The previous owner and I both love the way you can feel the road better with the manual setup. Ive driven it to some car shows and only trailer it if the shows are far away. I love to drive this car!! Since Ive owned it, Ive mostly just tried to keep it nice. I keep it in a heated shop and covered when not in use. I had the carburetor rebuilt and tuned and had a professional ceramic paint added to preserve the black paint. The paint isnt perfect, but it still shines really nice. We and the owner are more than happy to get any and all questions and pictures that you need to make a sound decision.
