New LS engine, new overdrive automatic, custom chassis, and a pro touring suspension! This genuine SS with a sweet body off frame restoration and lots of other upgrades definitely checks all the boxes. The build is nicely documented including the original trim tag, a bunch of pictures, plus a binder full of receipts and documents. It's gonna be hard to top this hardtop!
EXTERIOR: My compliments to the painter! And yes, its real name is Pull Me Over Red. But, wow is it slick, like it was just dipped in nail polish. I'm literally looking into a red mirror right now! It's an all rust free body that has been worked laser straight with precision gaps. When looking down the side of the body you will see smooth contours and crisp lines. The doors close easily with minimal effort and it even has Kindig-it flush mount door handles. The emblems and trim have been removed for an even cleaner look. The dual custom mirrors are a much appreciated upgrade that look great too. The bumpers are brand new. It also has new lightly smoked glass all the way around. The taillights were upgraded with new LED units. The bright red brake calipers are a nice compliment to the exterior paint. It is rolling on a sweet set of Riddler wheels that are 18x8.5"" up front and 18x9.5"" out back.
INTERIOR: The interior was completely gutted and redesigned. It was soundproofed using HushMat insulation. The car was also rewired with a Painless Wiring system. It has very comfortable sport bucket seats with six way power controls. The rear seat is upholstered to match. It also has plush carpet on the floor, a center console, and new seat belts too. The door panels and armrests were replaced. It has some cool billet handles and before you crank too hard, they actually have micro switches and all windows are power. The headliner, sun visors and rearview mirror were all replaced. A custom dash with all the metal painted gloss black and a full set of Autocross gauges plus an electronic shift indicator looks awesome. The cruise control is a nice addition and works great. Nice aftermarket tilt column with a leather grip steering wheel. The air conditioning is mounted neatly below the dash. It also has a Bluetooth capable head unit and four speakers including the kick panels. The custom pedal assembly costs $600 alone.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The new GM LS1 engine has a 5.7 liter displacement and is topped off with fuel injection for turnkey reliability. It is flanked by a nice set of headers. It has a Stage 1 fuel pump kit and some sweet polished coil pack covers that make the engine look more ""old school"". The front of the motor is cleaned up with a polished serpentine belt system that includes chrome pulleys, polished AC compressor, and a polished alternator. It is also equipped with a custom polished air intake tube, and power steering. An aluminum radiator with dual electric fans keeps everything running cool. It was upgraded with a chrome power brake system, upgraded wiper system, and strut assisted polished billet hinges. The underside of the hood, smooth firewall, and fender wells were neatly painted gloss black. It also has an upgraded billet aluminum hood lock.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and inside the jamb are both painted slick Pull Me Over Red just like the body. The weatherstrip was replaced and it has some really nice, upgraded billet hinges. Inside is fully boxed, carpeted, and upholstered with removable panels. Behind the passenger side panel is the relocated battery that is properly secured with a custom hold down.
UNDERSIDE: This has a complete custom front steering and suspension that includes tubular control arms, coilover gas shocks, splined swaybar, and Flaming River rack & pinion steering. In back is a 4 link Hotchkis Sport Suspension with lowering springs, gas shocks, swaybar and adjustable trailing arms. The frame was substantially strengthened with a tubular center section, boxed, and then powder coated. It also has a custom fuel system with a Vaporworx stainless steel tank. Super nice Wilwood 4 wheel drilled and slotted disc brakes with 6 piston calipers in front and stainless lines throughout. The dual exhaust has a crossover pipe, Flowmaster mufflers and sweet splitter tips. The bottom of the new crate engine has a custom oil pan and high torque starter. It is also furnished with a new GM Performance crate 4L60E overdrive automatic transmission. It was neatly installed along with a finned aluminum oil cooler for practical purposes. A new driveshaft leads back to a powder coated Moser Fab 9 rear end with 31 spline axles, aluminum case and 3.73 posi gears. The floors are solid and were undercoated.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and hired a team of technicians to work it. This is so we can sell you the best cars within reason.
This is a car that gets better and better the more you look at it! With amazing looks and a new crate drivetrain that should give you years of thought free cruising pleasure, your decision is simple. There is nothing left to think about here, except how much money you are saving compared to building it yourself!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide is my professional opinion based on my experience with these vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
