Ford derived the name for this full-size entry from the marketing tie-in with the excitement surrounding the Space Race. With its streaking lines, starburst emblems, and tail lights reminiscent of rocket thrusters, the Galaxie is the epitome of design in the 1960s.Mid-year, Ford created the industrys first 1/2 year model by introducing the "sports hardtop" also referred to as the "fastback."This Galaxie comes in beautiful Rangoon Red with a black interior. The wire wheel covers add a nice touch of class. Powered by a recently rebuilt Ford small-block 289 cu. in. V8, sporting exhaust headers and dual exhaust, and mated to a console shifted automatic transmission. A great boulevard cruiser, you will enjoy the ease of driving in this classic equipped with power steering and power brakes.
