This 1957 Seville was offered as one of Cadillac�s �Series 62 Eldorado Specials� which included the Seville 2dr./4 dr. versions and the stunning Eldorado Biarritz convertible. This Seville is basically the hardtop version of the Biarritz Convertible, the exterior and interior styling are the same. This example shows just over 31,000 miles on the odometer and was an intact, unrestored survivor when we came across it. Once acquired we immediately began our restoration�.actually, we consider the work performed here to be more of a preservation. The original exterior was beginning to show some light lacquer checking, so we stripped the body and professionally refinished it in the correct color. The exterior chrome, aluminum trim and bright work were all carefully polished and preserved, any worn or dried weather strips were replaced. The original interior was also showing the effects of time in the form of dried and lightly cracked leather. We removed the seats and door panels restoring them using highest quality hides, individually stuffing each pleat in the seat panels. The carpeting was replaced as well using high-quality Bentley cut pile with thick jute padding and sound deadening underlayment. The mechanicals were already in good condition so after a complete service and driveline flush we inspected all seals, gaskets, belts, hoses and lines. Any deficiencies were rebuilt or replaced as needed along with any compromised ignition, electrical, brake, suspension and steering components. This is a stunning and elegant automobile, well equipped and ready to enjoy.
