Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is proud to present this thrilling and beautiful, built from the ground up, 1956 Chevrolet Corvette. Being the first generation of many to come, some still argue there are no better corvettes than the C1, and if this was the C1 they did see it would be hard to argue. This C1 corvette was built to compete with the most elite cars in the world, with it entering the Sema Car show. Sporting a wicked red paint job that has that iconic white bubble that flares out from the fenders, it has been paired with a red leather interior, a classic and appealing color combination for the C1 corvettes. As beautiful as the car, the real treat is what the body sits on, a street shop chassis fitted with a late model independent corvette(C4) suspension is a real upgrade and gives the car the stability that is needed due to its others upgrades. Dana 44 posi rear end along with QA1 coil overs also have been added. When lifting up the hood one with be met with a LS6 that has been equipped with a GM hot cam kit and has been paired with a Tremac 5-speed manual transmission. Some more modern features this car now has that it didnt before include power steering, power brakes, but maybe no more important than cold blowing A/C. Imagine yourself behind the wheel of this timeless beauty, cruising along scenic routes and exploring the diverse landscapes of the country. With the top down and the wind in your hair, every journey becomes an adventure, and every mile a testament to the enduring appeal of this classic American sports car.
