This 1951 Siata Daina 1400 Berlinetta is a matching numbers example that's been patiently awaiting a straightforward restoration. The aluminum body is stripped of paint and complete. The front and rear bumpers are missing but it's otherwise a very complete car. It's mechanically complete as well but some of the instruments are missing. Its elegant shape alone makes it a project well worth the effort.
In 1951, SIATA introduced the Daina Sport, a sports car with bodywork built by the famous coachbuilder Stabilimenti Farina. The Daina Sport was based on the chassis of the Fiat 1400 and was powered by a 1.5-litre engine developed by SIATA. It was a beautifully designed car with streamlined bodywork and striking chrome details. There are known to be around 11 Berlinetta Stabilimenti Farinas in existence, making this particular example quite a rare car indeed.
