The Willys CJ2A combines classic aesthetics with remarkable functionality, making it an ideal choice for those who appreciate vintage craftsmanship and enduring appeal. This little piece of history comes with receipts totaling nearly $20K invested in the restoration. During the restoration, the engine was overhauled and was bored .030, with hardened valve seats installed for unleaded fuel compatibility. The differential housings received new bearings, seals, and gaskets, as did the transfer case and the transmission, because they were all in very good condition to begin with. The body parts were blasted to bare metal and thoroughly refinished. Step inside and youll be greeted by a harmonious blend of style and comfort. Behind the new windshield, the interior features a completely reconditioned 1948 Willys Jeep CJ2A instrument cluster, with refinished gauge faces, and the fuel gauge was converted to 12-volt compatibility. The seats feature copper-accented white synthetic leather, offering a refined contrast to the bold exterior, while maintaining ease of cleaning. This thoughtful design choice not only enhances the visual appeal but also ensures a pleasant experience for both driver and passengers. Every journey in this vehicle is a testament to its enduring design and the thorough attention to detail that went into its restoration.Under the hood, the 1949 Willys CJ2A is powered by a robust 4-cylinder engine, paired with a 3-speed manual transmission. This combination delivers a driving experience that is both engaging and reliable, true to the utilitarian spirit of the original Jeep design. The manual transmission allows for complete driver control, making it a great fit for those who relish the connection between man and machine.Adding to its classic appeal, this Willys CJ2A is equipped with military bias ply tires. These tires not only contribute to the authentic look of the vehicle but also provide a unique driving experience reminiscent of its storied past.
