Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is excited to present this sharp black 1932 Ford Roadster Pickup for sale. Its not very often that we see one of these little pickups, and its a rarity to get one thats this level of "cool". Its built on an original 1932 Ford frame, and features an original grille. The body shell is a Briggs composite, outfitted with traditional style rubber flooring, and synthetic leather seating. The bed is a reproduction, and is made of steel. Under the hood is a Chevrolet 350 CID V8, which is topped with an Edelbrock AVS2 4BBL carb, and fitted with coated shorty headers, which funnel the exhaust into a nice sounding custom dual system. Backing the SBC is something that adds to the coolness factor: a 5-speed manual transmission (sourced from a 1990 Camaro), with first gear "down and left". Ignition is handled by a GM HEI setup, and a PowerMaster high output PWM-9612 starter to get things lit off. Power gets to the ground via a 1940 Ford rear spring setup, and steering is handled by a Chevy Vega steering gearbox. The front suspension and axle are "early Ford", and the 4-wheel drum brakes are large 1940 Ford style. This little go-buggy rides on steel wheels that are wrapped with radial tires. Inside, the bench seat is equipped with seatbelts, and the dash features an engine-turned gauge bezel with vintage style gauges (including modern VDO speedo and tach), along with switches for the turn signals, headlights, electric radiator fan, and the heater fan. Some of the more recent updates (in the last 3 years) include replaced suspension bushings, clutch slave cylinder, oil pan gasket, rear main seal. Plus, the Harts radiator was steam cleaned, repaired and tested and the electric fan was added. One of the most fun features, however, is the convertible top: fold that canvas top down, and enjoy vintage open air cruising in one of the most unique little pickups around while you haul the whatever (grin).
