This is a 1994 Mercedes Benz S500, a 4-door sedan. It features a 5.0L V8 engine and 4-speed automatic transmission.
The original Spruce Green exterior paint is in very nice condition. The Parchment leather interior is clean with no rips or tears.
The car runs, drives, shifts, handles, and stops as it should. There are currently 85,523 miles on it.
MAIN FEATURES:
HISTORY:
I am the 3rd owner. The man from whom I purchased the car bought it in 1997. He was in his mid-70s. He had multiple homes and spent winters in Florida.
This car was kept in his heated garage and not driven during the Chicago area winters. I have multiple vehicles and have not driven the car in the winter either.
RECENT REPAIRS & MAINTENANCE:
This car has had the wiring harnesse replaced.
The car had about 70,000 miles on it when I bought it. There are now 85, 523. In the past 7 years and 7000 miles the car has had the following work:
IMPERFECTIONS:
There are scratches on the bumpers and several cracks in the plastic valance under the front bumper.
2 small, SURFACE rust spots about the size of a quarter. NO HOLES. One on the passenger front fender near the parking light. The second inside door at the carpet is held down.
The leather front seats have cracked. No rips or tears though. The plastic piece around the bottom of the driver seat lumbar support is cracked.
The glass cover over the driver-side headlight glass is checked. The light works fine on both low & high-beam settings.
When the headlights are turned on there is a light on the dash indicating a burned-out bulb but I’ve been unable to find it.
SUMMARY: Overall this is a very nice looking, good running and driving low mileage car that has been well maintained. It will provide many more years and miles of service at a fraction of the cost of it’s $95,300 original selling price. I’ve enjoyed driving this car and hate to sell it, but I have a 1965 Corvette Coupe that I’ve owned for almost 40 years and will be getting it back soon after a 3-year restoration project and I’ll need the room in my garage.

Hello Bidders
Getting down to the end of the auction. Just a final note that this car only has 85,700 miles on it. So it’s only barely broken in. The build quality is exceptional. The era of the “Overbuilt Mercedes Benz” never to be repeated. The MSRP on this car in 1994 was $95, 300. That’s over $200,000 in today’s dollars. The next owner will enjoy this S500 for many years and countless miles! Thank you all for LQQKing!
