1985 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am in very good overall condition, with 153,000 original miles and long-term ownership of over 30 years. This Blaze Red T-top Trans Am features its original 5.0L 305ci Tuned Port Fuel Injected V8 paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission and console shifter. The engine’s top end was refreshed in 2021, which included a new alternator and battery.

Equipped with tilt steering, a leather-wrapped power steering wheel, power windows and locks, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. In 2023, new power brakes were installed along with a new master cylinder and booster. The stock rear end has also been rebuilt.

The car has had one repaint in the original Blaze Red, with the ground effect gray darkened slightly. The body is straight and in very good condition overall, with some paint imperfections noted. It sports the louvered hood, factory ground effects, and rear spoiler.

Inside, the cabin is clean and features a full factory gauge cluster with tachometer. The cloth seats have been completely re-covered, a new headliner was installed, and new carpeting was added along with Trans Am floor mats featuring the Rising Phoenix logo. It’s fitted with an aftermarket Kenwood AM/FM stereo with iPod and MP3 inputs. The trunk is clean and roomy, and the rear seats fold down for extra cargo space.

The undercarriage is clean with only minor surface rust visible. Dual exhaust, newer BF Goodrich Comp-2 Radial tires, and original factory alloy wheels complete the look. Factory tinted windows are intact, and the glass is in excellent condition. T-top covers are included.

Everything works except the A/C, which has been disconnected and unused for 30 years—though all components are still in place and could be serviced if desired. The car is a strong mechanical driver that could use some cosmetic attention to bring it to the next level. It has passed a recent Massachusetts inspection, is stored in MA, and comes with a clean title in the owner’s name.
