1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Convertible

This custom-built 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Convertible has been featured in ad campaigns for Katy Perry and Avril Lavigne’s Laundrin Fragrance in Japan. Built by renowned Japanese custom builder Tomoya Watanabe of Super Machine Japan, this car showcases high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Finished in a deep oxblood red two-stage paint, the body was disassembled prior to painting and remains rust-free, with excellent panel alignment. The Burgundy Hertz cloth convertible top has a powder-coated frame, and all weather stripping, window felts, and glass are new. The front and rear bumpers have been re-chromed and feature integrated, functional parking sensors. Additional exterior details include 442 badging, dual exhaust, and a stainless steel gas tank.

The interior has been completely redone with tan leather seating, a power driver seat, and Mercedes carpet with full Dynamat soundproofing. A leather-wrapped dash, upgraded gauge cluster, and wood accents add to the refined look. The custom stereo system features Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, a backup camera, navigation, and premium speakers. Power windows, locks, and the convertible top function flawlessly. The trunk is fully finished, and the car is equipped with Vintage Air A/C and heat, an alarm system with automatic door locks, and LoJack.

Under the hood is an LS1 engine with a Weiand LS6 intake, headers, and a custom Tommy Hopper exhaust, producing 410 RWHP. Power is delivered through a rebuilt 4L60E electronic overdrive transmission and a 12-bolt Moser rear end with Eaton Posi traction, both with just 3,000 miles. An aluminum Be Cool radiator with dual fans keeps temperatures at 175°F even with the A/C running.

The suspension setup includes Global West upper and lower control arms, Hotchkis springs and sway bars, and Bilstein shocks. Stopping power comes from a Baer Big Brake Kit with 13-inch 2-piston front and 12-inch 2-piston rear brakes. The car sits on 18-inch Billet Magnum wheels wrapped in Michelin tires—245/40/18 in the front and 265/35/18 Sport Cup 2s in the rear.
