1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
Why This Vehicle is Special
We have a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 that is not only a one-owner car that has that great original numbers matching DZ coded engine in it and the Camaro has a lot of originality including what we believe is the all original interior.
It is an investment grade 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 DZ 302, Muncie 4-speed manual transmission that is truly rare and a serious collection piece.
Mechanical
Our 1969 Z28 Camaro has the coveted Z28 302 cubic inch DZ engine underrated from the factory at 290 horsepower @ only 5800 rpm, but it will rev past 7,000 rpm! This is the original engine and it does have the correct V0519DZ stamping on the front pad and rear casting number #3970010 and the engine looks like a time capsule with the correct factory intake, aluminum valve covers, the exhaust manifolds have been changed to headers, but mostly all other items like the tower hose clamps look original and not restored.
Ours has a hi-performance Holley carb like all 1969 Z28s had that delivers the needed fuel to give optimum response to your ride as the exhaust headers feed the dual exhaust. Other factors that this Z28 Camaro has is the factory correct Power Front Disc Brakes, dual exhaust, and the Muncie 4-speed transmission that handles the horsepower back through the gears and keeps the rubber on the road with a Posi traction 12 bolt rear end.
The underneath is clean, rust free and show perfectly and it rides on BF Goodrich Radial TA white letter tires on 15-inch Rally rims. Even the Firestone factory spare is still in the trunk of the car covered with what correct mats and spare tire cover.
This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 is the real deal, with all the correct parts and is a very good running and driving top-of-the-line Z28 that is ready for your collection.
Interior
Our Z28 has what looks to be an original, not restored, black interior with twin front bucket seats, Black carpet, factory dash with the Special Instrument Cluster including a factory 120 mph Speedometer, 8000 RPM Tach, a Center Console with the chrome Hurst shifter, and the optional console gauge cluster, and wood grain trim; all of which gives the interior a classy look with an awesome cockpit.
Exterior
The real 1969 Camaro Z28 is in pristine condition, runs perfect, no rust, perfectly clean paint, interior, floor pans, frame and drivetrain.
The Trim Tag shows it was originally LeManns Blue from the factory and has been painted the factory color of Cortez Silver. The paint is a show quality, professional respray, with the fit and finish on this car that stands out and shows off the iconic body lines.
The great Z/28 parts including a 5ZL2AA Special Ducted cowl induction hood, Z28 badging, front air dam, rear ducktail spoiler and black Z28 stripes.
Conclusion
Collectors will rank this 1969 Z28 Camaro we have here as one of the top cars to have in you collection of all Camaros.
It is not only a one-owner car but is also a numbers matching engine and transmission that has a lot of originality in it including what we believe is the all original interior.
