The Shelby Ford AC Cobra is an iconic sports car renowned for its stunning design and exceptional performance. Initially introduced in the 1960s, this high-performance vehicle combines a lightweight British AC Ace chassis with powerful American V8 engines, resulting in an unforgettable driving experience. The most notable model, the 427 Cobra, boasts a 7.0-liter V8 engine capable of producing over 425 horsepower, enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds. Greg Stirling lives and creates in San Jose, California. He is a member of the Guild of Motoring Artists, and his work has been featured in numerous automotive art auctions. He started creating art in 1980. After going through three decades of self-guided exploration in abstract expressionism, the art of the 20th century, and post-war impressionism, he arrived at the door of realism. To continue his area of study, Greg experimented with new techniques, media as well as innovative processes and concepts. Mr. Stirling is also an engineer, kinetic metal sculptor, and automotive enthusiast.
A message from the seller: “I always wanted liked the concept of the AC Cobra. Here I opted to utilize a Golden Gate setting in background. A metal print version of this AC Cobra was sold at the Ford Dunton Exhibition in London last year. This original art piece is canvas that is stretched, gallery wrapped and ready to hang. A portion of the proceeds from this auction will be donated to charity.”
