This 1966 Pontiac GTO Convertible is a PHS-documented, true GTO that’s primed for top-down summer cruising. When Pontiac first introduced the GTO in 1964, it was an option package designed to inject serious performance into their mid-size lineup. By 1966, the GTO had become its own distinct model, built on GM’s newly redesigned A-Body platform. The sleek “Coke Bottle” styling, wire mesh grille with integrated rectangular parking lights, and unique triple-stacked louvered taillights made it one of the most striking muscle cars of its time. With only 12,798 GTO Convertibles produced that year, this example is a rare piece of American muscle car history.

Under the hood, this ’66 GTO packs an upgraded 400 cubic inch V8 topped with a Tri-Power carburetor setup, feeding power through a 3-speed manual transmission. The dual exhaust system delivers an unmistakable, throaty muscle car growl, while the Safe-T-Track limited-slip differential helps keep the power planted. It rides on redline radial tires mounted on Rally II wheels, enhancing both its stance and drivability. The black vinyl power convertible top operates with ease at the push of a button.
