Major equipment includes the original 335 HP 389 Cu In engine now equipped with a date correct Tri-Power induction system and a 4-speed manual transmission replacing the original 3-speed. It was refinished in the original code L Marina Turquois exterior paint with code 220 turquois vinyl interior trim. It was built in the 4th week of May in the Baltimore assembly plant.
This car is in very good condition overall. The exterior body and paint is very good; body panels are very straight and show no evidence of any previous damage with panel gaps that are OEM quality or better. The paint finish is a high-quality respray in the original color and is also in very good condition, showing no visible flaws. The glass is very good
with no damage or delamination. Weatherstrips appear as new. Exterior brightwork and trim is all in very good condition. The bumpers are very straight with no damage and excellent plating.
The interior is in excellent condition overall. The seat upholstery, door and trim panels, carpet and headliner show no wear, damage or soiling. The seat upholstery and carpet appear to be replacements. Gauges are clear and fully functional; dash trim and switchgear is in good condition.
The engine compartment is in very good restored condition, showing only some light patina consistent with a driven vehicle.
The chassis is also in very good restored condition, displaying no damage or corrosion on any of the structural elements or suspension components. Tires are Coker Classic redline radials in good condition; wheels are reproduction Pontiac Rallye I style with very good center caps and trim rings.
This car runs and drives very well. In person inspections are encouraged. The car is located in Bethlehem CT. The seller is assisting the car owner with the sale of this GTO.

When was the resto done and by whom?
The restoration was performed 14 years ago by a local shop in Waterbury CT that is now defunct. I’ll see if I can find the name of the shop. This car has received excellent care and maintenance since the restoration and its quality speaks for itself.
