Description: One of 5,049 convertibles produced for 1966. Original owner up through 2024, then sold to a family friend due to age preventing continued enjoyment of this Bird that was babied since new. One repaint in 1989, seat foam redone around same time, and original 390 V8 rebuilt in 2002. Odometer showed 80k at that time but was zeroed out at time of engine rebuild. Less than 3500 miles since. Runs and drives like 1966. Older radial tires in good condition. Everything works as it should, including power convertible top and unique sequential turn signals in back. Features “swing-away” steering wheel. All documents from new, including window sticker, build sheet, warranty card, and sales invoice. Service records and receipts included as well. What an amazing find, and likely one of the nicest and well-kept examples of this generation Thunderbird.

Thank you for your interest! This Bird was built at the Twin Cities, MN plant and sold new at a dealer in St. Paul, MN to the original owner that lived in Northwestern WI. However, she was pampered from new and was stored winters, escaping the fate of many midwestern cars of that era. All original documents and service records are available as they were passed on to the second owner. Thank you and good luck!
Could the vendor show a video of the convertible top and rear deck up down and up? Confirm from the underside pics that there has not been any work down to the steering, suspension, brakes or exhaust as they look original.

Joe and his team are always a pleasure to deal with. They are quick to answer any questions or concerns that a seller or buyer would have. Always willing to work with the seller and buyer to make a sale happen. The auction site is easy to navigate and user friendly. I have been dealing with Joe for many years and would highly recommend him and his team.

I have purchased multiple vehicles through ACC auctions. I have a real passion for classic rare stock performance vehicles. ACC has managed to list some very unique cars, some of which I’ve been fortunate enough to win at auction. I’ve always received extraordinarily punctual high-quality service when I had questions or needed support through a transaction. I’ve even recommended friends marketing vehicles to use ACC auctions to assist them with their transactions. If I recommend them to my friends, I would certainly recommend to anybody!

I love how with ACC, they keep working with the buyer and seller to try to get a deal done even after the live auction ends. They really work hard to make sure both sides end up happy.

As a seller with ACC, we have experienced several successes and continue to use the platform. ACC auctions offers a straightforward and efficient platform for both buyers and sellers of classic car enthusiasts. Their online interface makes listing, browsing, and bidding on vehicles convenient, while the selection includes a variety of classics and rare finds. With their professional approach and transparent process, ACC Auctions is a reliable choice for seasoned collectors and newcomers alike.

I’ve sold a couple cars through ACC Auctions and have experienced very satisfactory results. I find the process to list a car, place bids, and ask questions or make comments extremely simple, which is greatly appreciated by those who didn’t grow up with modern technology. The greatest benefit, though, is having the ability to communicate directly with the person in charge, Joe, and receiving timely responses. I don’t find this easily available with most widely known auction sites.

We really appreciate how ACC continues to work with both parties even after the live auction has ended. They were able to help us reach a deal with the high bidder 4 days after the auction ended, a deal that was fair for both sides and everyone was happy. Hard working staff at ACC really seemed to care about helping us get the sale completed even though it was not a high dollar sale that would make them much on the buyer’s fee. Will use again and will be recommending to my friends!

ACC Auctions has been a wonderful resource for us and our dealership! The process of listing vehicles on ACC Auctions is very simple and the wide exposure has helped us reach more buyers and get more cars sold. There have been times where reserves have not been met, but even after the auction has ended Joe works very hard trying to put deals together that work for both parties. And in many cases, he’s been successful. We can’t say enough about how much he cares about his customers and how hard he works to be a world-class auction site!

Of all the sites I buy from, ACC’s post auction dealings are far the BEST! They are so far ahead of bring a trailer and the others, it’s incredible!!!!

Joe and ACC have been successful selling numerous vehicles for me with clear communications and no hassles. I recommend them highly.
I see the car is in the snow belt currently. Has it always been a northern car, or exposed to any snow and salt?
