1966 Ford Mustang convertible, “A” code produced at the Metuchen Ford plant.
Original “Emberglo Metallic” exterior, unique to the 1966 model year, paired with a two-tone Emberglo & Parchment pony interior.
This car comes with notable options such as Pony Interior, styled steel wheels, and a Rally Pac. It has been upgraded with Wilwood front Disc brakes, a chrome export brace, and a Monte Carlo Bar. Additionally, it features an aftermarket center console and A/C.
The paint exhibits a deep shine and a mirror-like finish. The body is straight, with excellent panel fit and finish along the sides. Original chrome and trim show minimal signs of wear.
The convertible top and parade boot are in excellent condition. This Mustang runs strongly and tracks straight down the road.
It’s a superb cruiser that attracts attention as it is. With minimal effort, it could easily be transformed into a show car, saving considerable starting effort.
However, there are a few improvements that could be made. The exhaust system, currently non-standard, could be replaced with a stock dual exhaust. The original rally pack has non-functioning gauges, which could be rebuilt. The power top has been converted to manual operation, likely due to a faulty switch. Recently the passenger rear window popped off the regulator. The regulator itself still functions. It is in the down position which is where I usually keep it because I never drive that car with the top up.

NO question, but to always leave the top in the down position will harm it by causing permanent creasing in the material.Top up keeps it stretched.
I don’t leave it down all the time. When I park it I put it up for that reason.
Thanks
