This 66 Cobra is a Superformance kit car. Superformance is an American company that specializes in engineering, designing, and building top quality replica vehicles such as the Shelby Cobra, GT40, Daytona Coupe, and Corvette Grand Sport! Superformance is the only replica company that was licensed to produce such vehicles and performance parts with the permission of Carol Shelby himself! There are a few companies that build these types of vehicles, but that is what makes Superformance on top! They are so particular about their product that they won’t even send out a body without having it painted themselves to ensure the best quality!
With the being said, this Cobra is finished in a stunning metallic blue paint job with painted white stripes… arguably the best color combo you can get! This paint has a super slick, high gloss finish that is sure to impress! The way this paint shines in the sun is like no other! This is a one-owner car, and the original owner is the one who built it! He kept records throughout his 17 years of ownership on what has been done to it and never spared an expense, everything has been done properly!
Built in 2006, this car has been meticulously maintained and driven very sparingly as it has only about 3,000 miles on it, which averages out to around 165 miles per year! The exterior features a staggered set of true center lock replica wheels wrapped in 245/60r15 tires on the front, and 295/50r16 BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires on the back to help put down the power and to give it the great handling it does, all while looking great and properly filling the wheel wells!
The exterior also features plenty of chrome throughout such as chrome fender ventilation, windshield surround, side view mirror, head and taillight bezels, windshield wipers, hardware and more! Satin black is also scattered throughout on items such as the side pipe exhaust, roll bar, and tow points! Leather fender covers to protect from rock chips and a matching tonneau cover are also included! The open grill with the exposed radiator and cooler with braided lines, and AN fittings, looks great and is sure to grab some attention as well! Moving on to the interior… the interior features a premium look and feel with black vinyl bucket seats, nicely finished vinyl door cards with storage pockets and chrome handle/ latch mechanisms, cobra embroidered floor mats, vinyl wrapped dash with a speedometer, RPM gauge, oil temp, water temp, voltage, fuel, and oil pressure gauges! Other dash mounted items include a turn signal indicator, headlight indicator and switch, fuel pump switch, blower motor switch, headlight switch, along with knobs for cluster lights, windshield wipers, and choke… don’t forget about the horn! A phone charging/ cigarette lighter port is also mounted to the lower dash, and a rear-view mirror is mounted to the upper. The leather wrapped steering wheel features chrome spokes, a black AC center cap, and the turn signal stalk mounted to the right!
Lastly, a fire extinguisher is mounted between the seats, and this car feels great to drive with stainless pedals, along with a chrome shifter and parking brake lever! Under the hood of this beast is a Ford Racing 351 Windsor crate motor rated at 385hp, paired with a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission! And this car doesn’t skip a beat with the Holley Street Avenger 770CFM carb! This car sounds killer and is wicked fast with all that power and its light weight! I personally drove this vehicle for a day to car shows and it was the best driving experiences I have ever had… The side pipe exhaust, tight 5-speed transmission, and great handling make for a great ride… and don’t forget about all the attention tis car brings!
