1961 Chevrolet Bel Air Bubbletop Coupe, a true old-school classic. This beauty is powered by a rebuilt 1964 409CI engine with a standard bore and very low mileage. It features open headers with 409 removable covers, and is paired with a 4-speed manual transmission on the floor. Originally from California, this car underwent a frame-off restoration about 20 years ago, using all original sheet metal, and still looks fantastic today.
Before the current owner purchased it, the car spent decades in a garage in Arizona, where it was rarely driven. It was originally a 348CI 4-speed car, a factory big-block model. The car is finished in a beautiful Blue Metallic Acrylic lacquer paint, which remains in excellent condition.
This Bel Air doesn’t have power steering, but it does feature a factory tachometer and a 3.36 positraction rear end. It rides on Bias Ply tires mounted on factory steel wheels with chrome hubcaps, and uses 10W-30 Valvoline racing oil. It has a 160-degree thermostat and a recently installed aluminum radiator.
The interior is just as beautiful as the exterior, with a bench seat and the original factory radio. The car looks, sounds, shifts, and drives beautifully, providing a smooth and enjoyable ride.
The car is currently stored in Massachusetts with a clean title in the owner’s name and comes with a car cover.
