This 1957 Chevrolet 150 two-door sedan has been meticulously modified as a tribute to the legendary “Black Widow” Chevrolets that dominated the 1957 NASCAR Grand National Championship.
Undergoing a frame-off, nut-and-bolt restoration in 2023, this build was executed to the exact specifications of the original Black Widow race cars. With only 36 miles since completion, the car features a repainted body, a re-trimmed interior in correct cobblestone upholstery, a period-correct roll bar, and a 283 cubic inch engine paired with a correct Rochester 4800 fuel injection unit.
Built for authenticity, it includes a three-speed column-shifted transmission, a 10-bolt rear axle, and dual exhaust exiting through the frame and quarter panels. Additional details include four front and rear shock absorbers, front and rear sway bars, an upgraded radiator, and a 20-gallon fuel tank.
Other period-correct features include magnetic headlamp covers, rocket hood ornaments, “Fuel Injection” badging, and stainless-steel quarter-panel spears and fin tips. The restoration also incorporated removable period-style racing decals. It rides on correct white 15-inch 6-lug wheels with custom grease spindles, mounted on 7.10-15 Firestone Deluxe Champion bias-ply tires.
Just like the original Black Widow race cars, this example is a heater and radio delete, with no glove compartment or rear window cranks to save weight for racing. The chassis number confirms it was originally a 1957 Chevrolet 150 built at the Atlanta, Georgia assembly facility with a V8 engine.
This historically significant car draws plenty of attention at car shows and “Caffeine and Cars” events. A true show-quality build that’s ready to be driven and enjoyed.

we will email you and the seller to go over how this can be accomplished. Thank you!
