This 1957 Cadillac Seville is part of Cadillac’s prestigious “Series 62 Eldorado Specials,” which included the Seville two-door and four-door models as well as the breathtaking Eldorado Biarritz convertible. Essentially, the Seville is the hardtop version of the Biarritz, sharing the same luxurious exterior and interior styling.
This example shows just over 31,000 miles on the odometer and began as an intact, unrestored survivor when we acquired it. Our approach focused on preservation rather than a complete restoration. The original lacquer finish was beginning to show minor checking, so we stripped the body and professionally refinished it in its correct factory color. The chrome, aluminum trim, and brightwork were carefully polished and preserved, while worn or dried weatherstripping was replaced to ensure a fresh and weather-tight finish.
Inside, the original interior had aged, with the leather showing signs of drying and minor cracks. We restored the seats and door panels using the highest quality hides, individually stuffing each pleat in the seat panels for an authentic look and feel. The carpeting was replaced with premium Bentley cut pile, paired with thick jute padding and sound-deadening underlayment for a quiet and comfortable ride.
The mechanical components were in good condition upon inspection, so we performed a full service and driveline flush. We inspected all seals, gaskets, belts, hoses, and lines, addressing any deficiencies by rebuilding or replacing compromised components. This included ignition, electrical, brakes, suspension, and steering systems to ensure reliability and smooth operation.
This Cadillac Seville is a stunning example of mid-century luxury and elegance, well-equipped and ready to drive and enjoy.
