“The goal of every Hot Rod builder is to create and own something that sets itself apart from other competitors, and this limited production 1929 Model A 4 door Crew Cab Pickup is truly in a class by itself. The creator was Bill Mathews of Templeton, CA., who first fabricated the truck in 2003. Only 10-12 have been built. This one was completed in Livingston, TX between 2006-2008. The build documentation is available (receipts, photos, etc.)!
The pictures show what a masterpiece this is, and with all the upgrades, you will be cruising in style, winning lots of car show awards, and most importantly, owning a very, very unique Hot Rod!
Powered by a GM sourced 350 V-8, attached to a smooth operating TH350 3 speed automatic transmission, it is a pleasure to drive. Other important features include power steering, Modern Vintage HVAC system, and a really cool remote Dakota Digital electronic door latch system, where each door is controlled separately. Once you slide behind the “”banjo”” style steering wheel, which is attached to a Flaming River adjustable steering column, it just adds more enjoyment to the ride. You also have a complete sound system at your disposal, controlled by a dash mounted head unit. By now the “”big picture”” is in place, and it is ONE OUTSTANDING UNIT!
Finally, the exposed engine features a block painted to match the exterior color, and even features a slight forward rake, with larger rear tires and wheels…..can you say “”Hot Rod”” again…all of this, to include so much of the exposed parts being completely chrome plated.
