All original inside and out. This 1966 Mercury Park Lane is a rare sight. Two-tone Emberglow and onyx exterior paint is all original. Multiple scratches and chips that are not visible in the photographs. The interior is nearly perfect, the steering wheel has no cracks and neither does the dashboard. It has the original rubber floor mats intact.
This car was purchased in Colorado and remained there all its life. The original owners owned a farm on the plains of Colorado. The Park Lane is loaded with multiple options including electric windows, electric vent windows, electric bench seat, vacuum operated door locks, air conditioning, AM/FM radio with an operational electric antenna, an eight track floor mounted console which was not working and has been removed but is included. There is a set of hubcaps in addition to the wire wheel hubcaps with the mercury man center cap. This car was rescued from the barn on the ranch where it had been parked for a number of years.
After acquiring the Park Lane, a new fuel tank was installed, the power steering gearbox was rebuilt, a new heater core, new spark plugs and plug wires were installed, all new belts, a new fuel pump, new tires, new U-joints and new dual exhaust and muffler system were also installed.
The carburetor was cleaned and adjusted. The air conditioning compressor is operational and was re-charged in 2015. It lasted three seasons but needs to be recharged again and has not been converted to R134. The vacuum door locks will lock the doors but the pressure is not sufficient to unlock them which makes me believe theres a leak in the vacuum lines.
This mercury Park lane runs very well and will not disappoint especially the onlookers that give the thumbs up ¼ Original window sticker and owners manual is included.

In the photo of the engine bay, on the right hand side the inner wheel well appears to be a dull brown. Is that rust?
Hi,,,no it’s not rust, paints a bit thin is all. (Passenger side inner wheel well)
Do you know how many miles per gallon the Mercury gets on the Open road?
My best estimate would be 15 😳
Is there a documented owner history? Does the driver door close and fit correctly?
Hi!
Yes, the drivers door closes and fits correctly, there are random papers in the glove box where the window sticker was. Not super detailed but pretty cool to see.
