1958 Chevrolet Impala – Modern Power, Classic Style

The 1958 Impala stands as one of Chevrolet’s most iconic creations. Though it wasn’t instantly embraced at launch, its bold styling and distinctive trim have since made it one of the most desirable classics around. This particular example has undergone a full frame-off restoration and has been thoughtfully upgraded with a modern drivetrain.

Starting with the exterior, this Impala showcases the unmistakable lines and flair of the late ’50s. Finished in Arctic White, the paint has been professionally refinished in base coat/clear coat, then wet sanded and polished to a smooth, glossy finish. Body panels fit beautifully, and the straight side profile really shows off the car’s timeless design. Gleaming chrome and polished stainless trim accent the white finish perfectly. All the glass and weather stripping have been replaced and show in excellent condition. It rolls on Billet Specialties wheels—18-inch in the front, 20-inch in the rear—wrapped in custom redline tires for a refined yet aggressive stance.

Inside, the cabin is dressed in a striking Turquoise Silver and Black color combo. Both bench seats were reupholstered during the restoration, and power windows add to the comfort and convenience. Vintage Air A/C and heat have been installed and work flawlessly. While the dash retains a factory-style layout, it has been modernized with digital gauges, a digital clock, and an upgraded stereo system. The trunk is fully detailed and includes a factory-style mat and spare.

Under the hood, this Impala is powered by a 5.7L LS1 V8, paired with Holley Sniper fuel injection and custom W-style valve covers for a classic 409 appearance. A polished serpentine belt system and aluminum radiator with electric fans keep things cool. It’s equipped with power steering, an upgraded steering box, and power four-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors. Suspension upgrades include QA1 coilovers, a front sway bar, drop spindles, and QA1 rear shocks. It also features new fuel and brake lines, a new gas tank, and a 4L60E automatic transmission linked to a stock-style rear end.

This beautifully restored ’58 Impala offers the best of both worlds—timeless design and modern reliability. Whether cruising the boulevard or turning heads at a show, this car is built to impress.
