The Superformance 427 S/C Cobra is widely regarded as the most faithful continuation of the legendary 1965 Shelby Cobra. Developed with Carroll Shelby’s blessing, these factory-built Cobras feature high-quality craftsmanship, authentic styling, and race-ready mechanicals. With their blend of classic looks and modern reliability, Superformance Cobras have become highly sought after by enthusiasts looking to experience the raw, visceral spirit of the original.
This 2000-built example, chassis #K139SP00807, represents one of the finest turn-key interpretations of the 427 Cobra. Finished in striking Royal Blue with bold White Le Mans stripes, it features a hand-laminated fiberglass body with reinforced inserts and show-quality paintwork. The interior is equally impressive, with hand-crafted leather seating, full carpeting, original-style pedals, and period-correct Smiths gauges and Lucas switches. A reverse 180-mph speedometer, stainless roll bar, and braided engine bay lines round out the authentic race-inspired details.
Under the hood lies a Ford Racing 351 Windsor V8, stroked to 392 cubic inches and delivering 460 horsepower through a Tremec TKO 5-speed transmission. Jet-Hot ceramic-coated side pipes deliver a thunderous soundtrack, while safety and durability are bolstered by features such as a stainless 17-gallon fuel tank, oil cooler, and Ventureshield rear fender guards. Polished 15-inch wheels with knock-off spinners complete the vintage race look. This Cobra is offered with a custom car cover, custom floor mats, and a chrome 3” fire extinguisher — a stunning machine ready to turn heads and stir souls.
