This 1941 Ford Super Deluxe Business Coupe Custom is a one-of-a-kind build packed with performance upgrades and unique custom touches throughout. It’s powered by a rebuilt 1996 LT1 350 4-bolt main engine with aluminum heads, BBK throttle body, MSD ignition, Walker radiator, and an OBDII Street & Performance wiring harness connected to a 1996 Camaro computer. The engine has just 12k miles since the rebuild and is dressed with plenty of chrome, including a chrome 140-amp alternator and A/C compressor. Sanderson headers flow into Hushpower mufflers, and the drivetrain includes a 2000-stall converter and 4L60E automatic transmission with Taxi Package and a 23″ Lokar shifter.
The interior is equally custom, featuring gray Thunderbird upholstery trimmed in ultra leather. It’s fitted with 1988 T-Bird Turbo Coupe power bucket seats with lumbar and heat up front, a matching rear bench with center divider, and a center console. Inside, you’ll also find Dolphin gauges with a GPS speedometer, a Julianos backup camera, a hidden fuse panel in a vintage-style heater box, tilt column with a 15″ 1959 Chevrolet steering wheel, Vintage Air A/C and heat, and power windows, steering, and brakes.
The body has been heavily modified. The front fenders were extended and widened, rear scoops added, and the hood louvered and reversed with a custom split from cowl to inner headlights. The custom grille shell holds a 1957 Corvette chrome grille and 1957 Mercury headlight rings. The top was chopped 4.5 inches and fitted with a Club Coupe roof, while the rear window was dropped 3 inches for better visibility. Suicide doors with shaved handles open via a pop-up mechanism beneath the doors. It’s finished in MIPA Super Black paint with a lace design that extends over the roof, hood, and louvered trunk, accented with pinstriping by John Hartnett. A power-closing trunk, integrated third brake light in the trunk louvers, and custom exhaust cutouts in the fenders complete the look.
Underneath, it’s just as impressive with a clean chassis, 1 1/8″ sway bar, a 1979 Trans Am front clip, Viking coilovers with 350 lb springs, a 9″ Ford rear end with 3.73 POSI, and a Chassis Engineering rear sway bar and springs. A 22-gallon stainless gas tank and custom wheels with fresh tires round it out. The car drives and handles beautifully and comes with a folder of documentation and receipts along with a clean title in the owner’s name.
