This custom 1930 Ford Model A is a true standout, built by a respected craftsman and custom builder in Pennsylvania. Thoughtfully designed and packed with handcrafted copper details throughout, it combines vintage character with high-end custom touches.

Starting with a 1930 Ford Coupe, the body has been chopped 3.5 inches and updated with new subrails from the doors back, new inner wheel wells, a new floor, fresh panels behind the rumble lid, a new lower panel, and new top wood. The car features 1950 Pontiac taillights, commercial headlights, and a custom 1932 grille engraved by Tay Herrera.

It rides on a custom 1932 Ford frame shaped to match the Model A body, with channeled and tubed crossmembers, pinched front, and bobbed frame horns. Power comes from a later-model Ford flathead engine with Edelbrock heads and intake, new Stromberg carbs, a Powermaster power generator, Offenhauser oil filter, new water pump, and a Walker radiator. It’s paired with a GM T5 5-speed transmission and hydraulic clutch for a smooth, reliable drive.

The full leather interior features a custom seat using a rebuilt Model A frame, square weave carpeting, and a leather-upholstered rumble seat. New Stewart Warner gauges finish the dash.

The front suspension includes a 4″ dropped and drilled forged axle, ’37–’41 spindles, GM brakes with custom scooped backing plates, P&J hairpins and steering arms, and a Vega steering box—all antique copper plated. In the rear is a 9-inch Ford POSI with 3.50 gears, 11-inch drum brakes, ladder bars, panhard bar, and Aldan coilovers—all powder coated.

It rolls on Wheelsmith wire wheels—16×6 with Firestone 500-16 ribbed tires up front and 17×7 with Firestone 820-17 grooved tires in the rear.

A one-of-a-kind build that turns heads wherever it goes—built to drive, enjoy, and show. It’s stored in PA with a clean title in the owner’s name.
