1967 Chevrolet Impala SS 427 Convertible – Rare & Fully Restored

Only 2,147 SS427 models were produced in 1967, and even fewer as convertibles—making this fully frame-off restored example exceptionally rare and collectible.

The exterior has a laser-straight body with excellent panel fit and uniform gaps. Finished in its original Marina Blue, now with a base coat/clear coat, it’s been polished to a deep, mirror-like shine. The white power convertible top is new and in great shape. Chrome and stainless trim show beautifully with minimal imperfections, and the glass is clear with replaced windshield seals and weatherstripping. It rides on 15″ Rally wheels wrapped in Firestone Red Line tires.

Inside, the factory blue interior is just as striking. It features bucket seats and a center console with the correct 4-speed shifter. The seat covers, padding, door panels, carpet, and sill plates have been replaced. The dash pad looks new, and the gauges are all in working order, including the speedometer, tachometer, fuel, oil, temp, and amp. The trunk is clean and includes a spare, jack, trunk mat, and a set of floor mats.

Under the hood is a correct 1967 427ci big block (casting #3904351 with IL suffix), equipped with matching ’67 heads, intake (3883948), Quadrajet carburetor, and original-style distributor. It’s dressed with chrome valve covers and a stock-style air cleaner with 427 badging. The engine is mated to an era-correct Muncie 4-speed transmission (casting #3885010) and a DM-code 12-bolt Posi rear with 3.73 gears.

It runs factory manifolds and dual exhaust with chambered mufflers. Other features include power steering, four-wheel power drum brakes, and refreshed suspension with new ball joints, sway bar bushings, and end links. The car retains its original floor pans and the F41 heavy-duty suspension package.

This is a beautifully restored, numbers-correct SS427 convertible that’s ready to cruise, show, and impress.
